Have A Contemplative Holiday

.. along with the happy one you already know to have.

To me, and to a lot of people I see around me, it feels as if we are hurling toward Christmas and New Years at warp speed like an asteroid making it's way toward earth... energy is high, and for one reason or another particular to you, people are crazed, anxious and panicked.

And for good reason too, the world is a pretty crazy place right now, and that seems to be the increasingly new norm.

And if you ask me, it';s been building since 9/11, but I'm pretty sure you're in agreement with me there.

For me, I'm not expecting it to change anytime soon, but rather that I'm constantly looking at new ways to be with it all and to navigate this new crazy world with less anxiety, fear and panic - and more fearlessness, faith, and surrender.

I'm constantly refining my abilities to adapt and improvise accordingly to all kinds of situations including this new world.

I think I've always had that skill ..And I suggest you do too - learning how to adapt and improvise quickly is an essential skill to have, including, learning how to heal anything with your body and health... but what's the alternative, an exhausting fight with a lot of things that aren't going to change anytime soon?

That can't be good for your health; fighting the nature of things rather then working with them that is.

I do all kinds of healing things that help me transform my ways of being with this new world - things that help me quicken my abilities to adapt and improvise accordingly.

For some, their habits are healthy while others are not so healthy and they are just looking to escape their feelings of it all.

You're probably starting to get the idea that this isn't your ordinary Happy Holidays email from yours truly

.And it's not that I don't absolutely want to wish you a very Happy Holiday .... because I do.

I want to wish you the happiest of holidays and an increasingly healthy New Year.

But on the flip side of all that excitement is the sobering side of things..you choose the reason for me saying this.

...schools in LA closed yesterday because of a terrorist threat that turned out to be bogus, San Bernardino, France .. you get it.

It's important to be able to have the ability to do both; to be celebratory and to be sobered by the harsher realities of life.

Having the ability to integrate both simultaneously is absolutely necessary and very powerful.

For me, I've always sought out "therapists and healers" who I could communicate all kinds of things with, especially those things that troubled me.

I also did this because I know that everything I carry in my mind, I also carry in my body.

And as most of you also know, I have my Maori friends/teachers and their style of body-work that also helps me cathartically and psychically shed the shit of it all.

And yes, I urge you to seek out these kinds of methods as well, as they are proven to help you quicken your process in healing and transformation with many things.

So what's the solution?

For me, it's a simplified answer that one could start with and build upon as you see fit.

Do your part by continuing to look and see all the ways and areas in your life where you can develop yourself.

Financially - it takes money to improve most situations.

Emotionally - you have to be emotionally solid to be able to stand up to scrutiny, especially with those who are not looking to create a better world for all of us.

Physically - if you don't have your health and vitality, you're unable to participate in much of anything let alone in helping make great change.

You get where I'm going with this list.

Dig deeper into learning all the ways of how you can serve yourself and others better.

Seek out coaches, healers and therapists who can help guide you to learning how to do this.

No this isn't some cheap way to pitch you to come see me or anyone else I endorse .. even though that's a great idea... but rather, it's a thoughtful answer and a suggestion for how you can begin to look and see how you can be part of the solution.

And you can start by looking deeper into yourself for how you can contribute.

You're either part of the solution or part of the problem. You choose every day, and with every interaction you find yourself in with people.

Do your part.

Have a happy and healthy one - be well
