One doesn’t necessarily get us the other

Despite what we might not like to think, we can’t solve an emotional issue with a physical solution, regardless of what it is.

For instance: We may have a coach to help us reach our fitness or financial goals, but this doesn’t mean they’re helping us heal or transform our emotional self.

Reaching our fitness or financial goals does not automatically solve the emotional issues that are attached to these areas of our lives.

I know this is counter to what’s been marketed on social media ... that we can get rid of our fear & shame if we make a million dollars this year, or achieve rock-hard abs.

At the end, we will have have made more money and tightened up our midsection, but let’s not get carried away thinking that any of this will solve our emotional discontent.

If anything, we may find that our emotional issues, in fact, get worse.

It’s great to want to improve many areas of our physical life, and strive to be “happier” because of it. However, when we’re in search of assistance to heal the underlying issues we have regarding these things, and many others, we will need the help from those who are specifically qualified to do that. Not all coaches are created equal.

Either they will be qualified from the standpoint of having a certain degree or education, or their credibility will come by way of having healed similar experiences within their own lives. If you’re lucky, you’ll find those who have both the education & the experience.
