Corona virus: Fear & Stress
There’s two issues that were dealing with at the moment; one is the Corona virus & the other is fear & stress; both are worthy of our full attention.
The Corona virus is something we should definitely be considering & taking the necessary precautions to minimize the spread of. But more importantly is understanding the magnitude that fear & stress has on our nerve system, which ultimately has a major impact on our health.
When fear & stress are high, the nerve system works harder & when that happens, our immune systems are taxed as well. All of this makes us more susceptible to getting sick & this is the thing that all of us should be paying close attention to at this time.
Chances are, you’re not going to get the Corona virus, but if you’re not paying attention to your fear & stress level, other sicknesses & ailments can affect you as well.
The one thing that this Corona virus is doing for all of us is revealing all the fear that’s been lurking deep within us. Before all of this, we’ve all been equipped with our coping mechanisms strong enough to hide them just enough for all of us to get some decent sleep. But now, it seems that our Pandora’s box of fear has been kicked open revealing our fear in all its glory.
In a way, this is a good thing that we’re now connected to it. Do all the those healthy things that you can to reduce fear & stress; Get plenty of rest, take your vitamins, stay hydrated, eat as healthy as possible, meditate, watch comedies, stick with all your therapies & therapists even if you have to Skype.
