Why don’t I feel good?

Maybe you’ve asked yourself this question at some point. There could be many reasons ... here’s the beginning of you figuring that out.

I’m only 50, but thus far, I’ve noticed that feeling "good" does not necessarily come as easily you might like to think.

From my vantage point, it needs to be earned & is not an entitlement.

Feeling good can be pertinent to one's mental, emotional, physical, or financial state, but no matter the area of life, feeling good is an earned distinction, rather than something that life owes us.

For most people, “feeling good” will come easy in some areas of life: being at ease while being in intimate relationships, feeling good around family, having a kind of comfort with one’s body, enjoying good health & being pain free, or it might even be an ease when it comes to their relationship with money or career.

However, in other areas of one’s life, it’s definitely an earned distinction, where we don’t necessarily “feel good.”

In what areas of your life has an ease been bestowed upon you, where you came into this world naturally being good at something & therefore “feeling good,” and where must you earn it?

All of us are born with certain abilities, where things naturally come easily to us. It’s important to make note of these, & maximize our strengths in these areas.

We must also take note of the areas that do not come easily to us, where we must earn it, & spend great time & energy in developing ourselves.

Despite what you might think, “feeling good” is a distinction that comes easily to us in certain areas of our lives, while in other areas, it can be quite a different story & sometimes a painful experience. This is true for everyone, & though it might seem that certain people seem to have it all, they don’t.

All of us struggle to “feel good” in different ways & in different areas of our lives; never forget that, thinking you’re the only one. That is just not true, & it’s a dodge in order for you to continue feeling sorry for yourself & avoid the necessary work to figure out difficult areas of your life.
