Reintroduction

For those of you that are new to me, allow me introduce myself & thank you for the follow.

My work doesn’t fit into a neat box. It’s not something thats common but for some it can scratch an itch that’s been nagging them for a long time despite other interventions.

I started out my career as a young Chiropractor. I soon found myself in the hands of my Maori healing teachers who helped open my eyes to a type of healing bodywork I didn’t know I had an affinity for.

Maori people are indigenous to New Zealand & a small but mighty group of them have been teachers, friends & family to me over the years.

The work they taught me, helps people connect & release many stuck issues held deeply within the body. These are often the reasons people find out why certain areas of their lives aren’t functioning so well.

I soon realized that although physical healing was what came most natural to me, it was in the realm of mental & emotional healing that I was most passionate about.

I’ve always been a really sensitive person, but was not adept at being able to interpret & communicate those feelings. I quickly learned that I was really good at seeing how people’s mental & emotional issues related to every area of their physical life.

To further this, I found a mentor who started to teach me how to speak with people in a manner that helps guide them through many of the things I’ve learned to navigate in my own life.

What separates coaches from therapists is that a therapist’s credibility comes from a body of education, while a coach’s comes from a body of experience.

A good coach has a commitment to work through their own struggles. They’re on the court in their life, unpacking hurdles & issues that give them the necessary credibility to comment on other’s lives.

These three techniques have combined to create the work I do today, it’s a one-stop-shop therapeutic practice.

I mix conversation/coaching with bodywork & adjustments when appropriate, all to help connect people’s mental-emotional world with every area of their physical life. It helps people integrate their emotional & physical worlds, instead of seeing them as separate entities.
