The fear fallout
We’ve been saturated in the reporting of fear for 18 months; and despite our viewpoints on COVID-19, or the varying fear level each of us may have about it, everyone was connected to it.
This time period pushed people to connect with deeper fears within themselves that go far beyond the shutdown. Each of us had our own individual portal through which we were forced to face our fears.
Into the wild we go
Now that COVID-19 restrictions of all kinds are being lifted, how do we navigate integrating back into this new wild world?
The first thing to do, is to see the climate we are entering back into clearly.
An entertaining example of what we’re dealing with would be NBA basketball.
Terrain Theory
“If the Germ theory of disease were true, there’d be no one living to believe it.” - B.J. Palmer, the creator of Chiropractic.
Now, more than ever, the way this country thinks about health & healing needs a radical transformation.
Germs, microorganisms & cancer are not enemies to be fought against ...
The trenches
The young daughter of my first teacher was asked “what do your mom & Harold do in those sessions?” To which she responded, “Oh, they figure out life together - he cries, yells & laughs a lot.” ... 20 years later, not much has changed, other than now I’m doing it with others. Life is good.
I thrive in the player/coach construct; I don’t know any other way to live ... nor would I want to.
“One day the house smells of fresh bread, the next of smoke & blood”
About a month ago, Lindsay & I headed out to Denver to visit her folks & to celebrate her father’s 85th birthday. We had the best time hanging out & it gave me another chance to spend time & get to know them. I also snuck in a chance to connect with her father & ask permission of him to marry his daughter ...
My body let me down
Our bodies don’t let us down, we let our bodies down.
Going through life thinking that your body let you down is a poor way to live. Whether it’s an illness, some kind of body pain, or something aesthetically unpleasant about it, this kind of a narrative is not going to serve us well.
How well do you think the body will respond & function with this type of attitude toward it?
The body hungers for acknowledgment
Everyone likes to be acknowledged, why would the body would be any different?
At our core, everyone likes to be seen, heard & acknowledged. It can be uncomfortable to be seen in certain ways or circumstances, especially in those moments of great shame. But it’s my opinion that we deeply appreciate it none the less.
Make decisions you can empower
Should I get a vaccine or not?
Should I invest in that company or not?
Should I marry her or not?
A lot of people are scared to make the wrong decision of whether to get the vaccine or not & I don’t blame them one bit.
Vaccine Fatigue
For a long time, I’ve understood health & healing in a different way than that of Western medicine. Part of that came from my education under the tutelage of old school chiropractors who were deeply educated in a way that seldom gets taught these days in the profession. Some of those differences included the efficacy of vaccines, the meteoric rise of childhood vaccine schedule, as well as the long-term problems that arise from relying on antibiotics & pain meds.
Emotional trauma never goes away
Despite what you’ve been told, trauma does not go away. Regardless of the hype-marketing by some good looking instagram guru or coach, don’t be fooled into thinking you can get rid of it.
I’m not going to go into the science of why that is, but what I will say is that trauma is embedded in our Central Nervous System.
High vibrational state
In some circles, people talk about manifesting & how you need to be on the same vibrational state as the things you want to attract in your life.
These people I’m speaking of, are in part, basing their knowledge off of the popular book, Power vs. Force by David Hawkins. In it, he talks about the energetic frequency levels of the various states of being: love, anger, shame, fear - each designated by a specific number or energetic score.
The benefits of doing emotional healing work
When you start to engage in emotional healing work with yourself, you begin to find that you don’t need as many physical “things” to fill the voids of all those emotional wounds you used to carry around.
You also start to see a reduction of addictive behaviors that have been covered up by emotional issues & trauma.
Pain has a way of getting our complete attention
Sickness is an opportunity to check in with all the places within ourselves & our lives where we’ve become disconnected & have often ignored.
It’s always a good time to do this, but when we’re sick, it’s especially vital to check in with the body to listen carefully to all its communications & its needs in order to bring it back into wellness.
God’s creation
Depending on what you believe in, whether it be God or universal intelligence (I believe in both), it designed us with the capacity to heal & endure many things, including viruses.
It did not make mistakes when designing us where it left out certain things to the extent that it would have us being so vulnerable & in need of requiring isolation.
"Happy" Holidays
“Happy” Holidays from quarantine.
As I’ve previously written, I’m concerned for people’s spirit, because I think it’s been grossly overlooked when deciding what the best path to take is, with respect to dealing with quarantine & COVID-19.
The impact remains to be seen. We have yet to see the full impact this prolonged quarantine & associated shut down has had on us.
Utah
My lady and I recently got back from a week long trip to Utah & it felt good to get away from all the heaviness & COVID-19 questions, concerns, fears, worries, truths & lies.
The first day in Zion, we walked 10 miles to Angels Landing & then 5 more miles the next day through ice cold water in the Narrows trail.
Killing our spirit
For the past 9 months or so, I’ve been sharing with those closest to me, how angry I am to watch peoples spirit being slowly eroded by the way this entire quarantine COVID-19 fiasco has been handled. I’ve been consistent since day one in saying that this virus is not everything they’re saying it is.
They aren’t simply reporting the science; their agenda is distorting the science & the numbers to support their narrative.
13 years
In my previous post, I shared about my love coming into my life several months ago ... but why did it take 13 years?
“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” - Rumi
The above quote by Rumi encapsulates the kind of work & journey I’ve been on during this time.
We found love in a hopeless place
It’s been 13 years since my last legitimate relationship & for the last 4 months, all that has changed & I couldn’t be happier. Her name is Lindsay & she came out of nowhere; meaning she came from a direction I wasn’t intending, looking in, manifestating or had envisioned ... she’s been so much more than my stubborn self could have ever hoped or asked for.
